Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account information. Your email address when you sign up. Used for authentication and occasional product updates.
• Saved links and content. The URLs you save, and the article text we extract from them so you can read later. This is your data — we store it only to provide the service.
• Usage analytics. Aggregated, anonymous signals (e.g. app opens, feature usage) to understand how Pak is used. No personal identifiers are attached to these events.
• Technical data. IP address, device type, and browser version, logged briefly for security and debugging. Not retained beyond 30 days.

What we don't collect

• — Your saved content is never read for advertising or profiling.
• — We don't sell or share your personal data with third parties.
• — We don't track you across other websites or apps.
• — We don't use your data to train machine learning models.

How we use your data

• — To store and deliver your saved content when you want to read it.
• — To sync your reading list across devices.
• — To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset).
• — To send occasional product updates — you can unsubscribe at any time.
• — To investigate abuse or security incidents when required.

Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services to run Pak:

• Cloudflare — hosting, edge delivery, and DDoS protection. Your traffic passes through Cloudflare's network.
• Transactional email provider — to send account and notification emails. Your email address is shared only for delivery.

We don't use advertising networks, social tracking pixels, or analytics platforms that build cross-site profiles.

Cookies and local storage

Pak uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. Reading list data is cached in your browser's local storage for offline access — this data stays on your device.

Data retention

Your account data is kept as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

Your rights

You can, at any time:

• — Access your data by exporting your reading list from the app.
• — Delete your account and all data from the app settings.
• — Correct your account information in app settings.
• — Opt out of product emails via the unsubscribe link in any email.

If you have a request we don't support in-app yet, email us and we'll handle it manually within 30 days.

Children

Pak is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child's data has been submitted, contact us and we'll delete it promptly.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to the team members who need it to operate the service. We will notify you promptly if a breach affects your account.

Changes to this policy

We'll notify you by email of any material changes before they take effect. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
